What is "Anonymize Personal Information"?

"Anonymize" will clear a staff's personal information, masked it as "[ANONYMIZED]". Which includes:

  • personal information in Applicant profile
  • Bank Accounts
  • Working Experiences
  • Educations
  • Certifications
  • Residential Addresses
  • Family Members

Attachments in these transaction records are also deleted:

  • Placements
  • Leave Entries
  • Leave Applications
  • Attendance Applications
  • Expense Claims
  • Appraisals

Why use "Anonymize"?

According to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, personal data of a former employee may be retained for a period of up to seven years from the date the former employee ceases employment. "Anonymize" provide a way to clean these data from Backstage.

How to use "Anonymize" function?

  • Go to Staff -> Applicant -> Open the Applicant record that you are going to work with
  • Go to More -> Anonymize
  • Enter Applicant Number to acknowledge you are ready. Click "Anonymize" to proceed.
