Steps to Authorize Backstage to work with QuickBooks Online

  • from the top right system menu, go to QuickBooks Setting
  • click the button to begin Authorization process
  • you will be redirected to QuickBooks Online, login as required, follow the instruction to grant permission to Backstage
  • you will return to Backstage. If the authorization is successful, you will see settings to be configured before you actually work with QuickBooks

Tell Backstage how to connect its records to QuickBooks

  • from the top right system menu, go to QuickBooks Setting
  • select the correct linkages from Backstage to QuickBooks:
    • Item: when creating Invoice in QuickBooks, you select which item your client is buying from you. Backstage will use your chosen item when creating invoice.
    • Customers: link company records in Backstage to your customer records in QuickBooks

To Create Invoice in QuickBooks

  • open the Invoice record
  • click More / Create Invoice in QuickBooks
    • Backstage will create an invoice in QuickBooks

To Delete Invoice in QuickBooks

  • open the Invoice record with previously created Invoice in QuickBooks
  • click More / Delete Invoice in QuickBooks
    • Backstage will delete the invoice in QuickBooks
