Why need to create Pivot Table of Placement's Export Report?
Sometimes, you need to organize, analyze, and summarize large amounts of data into a more concise and manageable format, but the existing Reports in the system is not enough for you to use.
How to cretae Pivot Table of Placement's Export Report?
This process is not limited to the "Placement's Export Report."
If you have any other report, you can begin at step 4 after opening the Excel file and navigating to the correct tab. Just ensure your data is in a clean, tabular format with headers in the first row.
Navigate to the Placement page and apply any necessary filters.
Click Export and open the downloaded Excel file.
Go to the Salary tab.
Select a cell in the data, then go to the Insert tab and click PivotTable.
In the PivotTable Fields pane, arrange the fields as follows:
Rows: Drag PlacementNumber and AssociateName.
Columns: Drag PayTypeName and PayType.
Values: Drag PayRate.
Drag EffectiveDate into the Columns area. Excel will automatically group the dates.
For a clearer view, you can remove "Years" and "Months" to display only Quarters for easy reading.
If you don't need the total:
Go to the "Design" tab on the ribbon. This tab appears only when a PivotTable is active.
In the "Layout" group, click on the "Subtotals" button.
From the dropdown menu, select "Do Not Show Subtotals".
