Why Cannot Count correct Leave Days for Leave-related pay items in Payroll?

Sometimes, you find the pay amount is wrong as Backstage cannot count the number of leave days correctly in Payroll. It may due to

  1. No or Wrong formula is set
  2. The Leave Entry Problems

How to handle Backstage Cannot Count correct Leave Days for Leave-related pay items in Payroll?

1. No or Wrong formula is set

  • Go to Payroll -> Job Order Template -> Click on the leave-related to check the payroll formula
    • if the formula is not set, please contact us to set the formula
    • if the Leave Type Code is wrong, please update the Leave Type Code
  • Recalculate the Payroll

Please do not update the Leave Type code once the leave type is created to avoid the problem occur


2. The Leave Entry Problems

2.1 No Leave Entry

  • Go to Attendance -> Leave Application and see if any "Pending" applications within the month
    • If yes, Approve the Leave Application and Recalculate the payroll
  • Go to Attendance -> Leave Entry and check if the Leave Entry is created
    • If no, please create the Leave Entry and Recalculate the payroll

2.2 The Leave Duration of the Leave Entry calculated incorrectly

  • Go to Attendance -> Leave Entry and check the Leave Duration of the Leave Entry
  • Recalculate Leave Entry by opening the Leave Entry -> More -> Recalculate
    • If you find the Duration is wrong, e.g not a complete day, please delete the Leave Entry and created it again
  • Recalculate the Payroll
