Ending Leave Balance is a record representing a direct modification to the B/F(Bought Forward, i.e last period leave balance remain) balance. It would be useful for configuring the initial leave balance. The leave balance inputted would override the B/F balance calculated by the system.
For creating Ending Leave Balance records to Backstage, there are 2 ways to do it:

| Placement | Staff involved in this modification, you can use Placement Number or Staff Name to search the staff |
| Leave Type | The Type of Leave needs to be modified |
| Effective Date | Date of the modification becomes effective. Usually would be the last day of the last period. |
| Leave Balance | The number of Days / Hours) remain in the last period that can be B/F to the next period. This can be either positive or negative, e.g 5 days or -5 days |
