What is eMPF?

eMPF is a platform that centralized and digitalized all MPF administrative processes for Employees, Employers, and Self-employed persons.

The eMPF Platform is available in both web portal and mobile app versions with full functions.

When and How to Register eMPF?

You should start registering eMPF accounts from the date on which the MPF scheme that you are participating in onboards to the eMPF Platform.

You can refer to your MPF Trustee's notice or please refer to Schedule for MPF Scheme and Trustee Onboarding to the eMPF Platform and register from the specified date

• Employee
It takes 3 simple steps to complete the registration:
1. Identity verification -> 2. Provision of personal information -> 3. Setting up of username and password.

To ensure smooth registration with the eMPF Platform, please have the following items ready:

  1. HKID card
  2. Personal mobile phone
  3. Email address

If you are an “iAM Smart(智方便)” user, you can perform identity verification with “iAM Smart” directly during registration.

• Employer
HR staff or You can register with eMPF for your company if you are appointed by your company as the Company Authorized Person.

After receiving the eMPF Activation Code which is in the Communication Pack, you can start registering on behalf of your company by following the steps:

  1. Input Company Authorized Person's information
  2. Input eMPF activation code and Business Registration / Certificate of Incorporation number
  3. Upload Company Authorized Person Nomination Form and Business Registration Certificate / Certificate of Incorporation.

The eMPF Platform will send a notification to the Company Authorized Person by email / SMS(within two working days) to activate your account.

If the company is participating 2 (or more) MPF schemes, no need to register 2 eMPF accounts!
If 2 companies enrolled under the same MPF schemes, please register with eMPF for each company individually and a specific eMPF ID will be issued for each company!

Self-employed Person(SEP) Apart from the above functions for Employees, Self-employed Person can
  • Declare Income and Make Contribution
  • View Contribution records and Payment status
  • Subscription notification function (contribution due reminder, relevant income statement reminder, etc)
Employer
  • Manage multiple MPF accounts under different schemes
  • Enrol in MPF schemes
  • Prepopulated Contribution Details and Auto-calculation on MPF Contributions
  • View and Download Contribution Records and Statuses
  • Multiple electronic payment options
  • Outstanding Tasks and Notifications function (employees’ enrolment statuses, contribution due reminder, etc)
