Even you had assigned a fixed entitlement to employees in their placement,
there was still a chance that leave balance was not correct due to manmade mistakes.
Therefore, you will need to manually adjust employee leave balance by Leave Adjustment in Backstage.
Figure out what is the current amount of leave balance in employee's placement
(or you can go to Analytic->Leave generate a Leave Balance Report for a batch of employees)
Go to "Attendance'' --> ''Leave Adjustment'' --> ''Add New''
